Practical guide - download below

The core purpose of Artists in Creative Education is to create a transnational guide for artists to work in primary schools, with a particular emphasis upon developing the skills and understanding necessary to work creatively in schools in disadvantaged areas. The guide will help to:

  • Develop a shared and greater awareness of the creative approaches to education across all European countries exploring individual and collective language, understanding and practice.
  • Establish collaborative transnational partnerships.
  • Provide professional development for the artists who take part in the project and those who read it.
  • Successfully plan and implement a creative learning exchange programme which will result in significant benefits to children and young people.
  • Deliver a collaborative learning exchange programme between artist practitioners and schools with children at the centre leading to greater European co-operation.
  • Deliver a practical programme where children, young people and teachers will benefit from the creative work and European connections.
  • Lay the foundations for facilitating the transnational movement of labour.
